Homebuyers buying estate agent loans 'should seek advice'

People who have been encouraged to buy a loan from their estate
agents have been given advice on how to get the best deal.
Writing for the Daily Mail, Neil Simpson recommended that customers
should not feel obliged to buy a mortgage from an estate agent as their primary job is to find "the home
of [their] dreams".
However, he also revealed that an increasing number of agents are
selling home loans when they secure the sale of the property as
they can earn up to 0.25 and 0.5 per cent of the mortgage price in
commission.
Mr Simpson reminded Daily Mail readers to make sure their estate agent looked around the entire market for the
best mortgage.
The expert also advised customers to do their homework on the best
mortgage deals as well to make sure to "cover all [their]
bases".
Writing for ClaimsFinancial.co.uk, Elliot Wright recommended
finding a reputable estate agent as the first step for any homebuyer
looking to purchase mortgages from them too.
